DESCRIPTION

The 1658620-5 is a 24-position ribbon cable connector designed for .100 x .100 inch (2.54 x 2.54 mm) grid interconnect applications. It features duplex contact plating for enhanced durability and corrosion resistance, with dimensions of 1.150 inches (29.21 mm) length, 1.380 inches (35.05 mm) width, and 1.100 inches (27.94 mm) height. The connector is supplied with a strain relief component (part number 1-499252-0) to protect the cable assembly and reduce mechanical stress at the connection point. This connector is commonly used in ribbon cable assemblies for data transmission, signal distribution, and power interconnection in industrial control systems, telecommunications equipment, and computer peripherals where reliable, compact interconnection is required.
