DESCRIPTION

The 1658871-1 is an XFP cage with insulating tape designed for 10 Gb/s serial link applications. It features a 30-position surface mount connector interface with press-fit PCB attachment, providing reliable mechanical and electrical connection. The product incorporates patented riding heat sink technology for thermal management, with the heat sink mounted to the cage using a clip to maintain contact between heat sink and module. The cage includes gasketing features for excellent EMI containment and supports belly-to-belly applications. This XFP cage is compatible with standards such as OC192/STM-64, G.709, and 10 Gigabit Ethernet, making it suitable for data networking, telecommunications switches, enterprise storage, and network switches and routers.
