DESCRIPTION

1738014-1 is an ARINC 600 press-fit power and Quadrax contact designed for PCB attachment, eliminating the need for soldering in aerospace, defense, and marine applications. The contact features a high-strength copper alloy base with various plating options and operates over a temperature range of -65°C to +125°C. It offers a dielectric withstanding voltage of 1500 VACrms at sea level and 500 VACrms at 50,000 ft altitude, with insulation resistance of 1000 megohms minimum. The contact is rated for 500 mating cycles and meets ARINC 600-19 industry specifications. This press-fit solution provides manufacturing cost savings by eliminating PCB soldering processes and enables up to 10% weight savings while maintaining backward compatibility.
