DESCRIPTION

The 311P407-5S-B-15 is a non-magnetic crimp receptacle connector from the AMPLIMITE Series 90 high-density connector line, designed to accommodate 70 contact positions in shell size 5. The connector features a brass shell with gold plating, an insert approved per MIL-DTL-24308, and copper alloy retention clips for reliable performance. Key dimensional specifications include an overall length (A) of 2.064 inches (52.43 mm), width (B) of 0.423 inches (10.74 mm), and mating face depth (C) of 2.406 inches (61.11 mm), with contact holes (J) of 0.120 inches (3.05 mm) diameter. The contacts are constructed from copper alloy with a gold plate thickness of 0.000050–0.000100 inches over a copper underplate, ensuring excellent conductivity and corrosion resistance. This connector is NASA-qualified and widely used in aerospace, defense, and high-reliability applications where non-magnetic properties and dense contact arrangements are essential.
