DESCRIPTION
The 215464-6 is a male-on-board connector from TE Connectivity's Micro-MaTch connector family, featuring a 1.27 mm contact centerline spacing for reliable wire-to-board and board-to-board interconnections. This connector incorporates tin-plated contact design with a gas-tight connection system that prevents fretting corrosion, the traditional failure mode in tin-plated connections. The design includes an additional positioning spring in the female part that absorbs relative movements caused by vibrations and thermal expansion, ensuring a stable contact spot and high contact force required for tin-plated systems. The 215464-6 is available in multiple position sizes (4 to 20 positions) and mates with female-on-board connectors including models 215079, 215460, 188275, 338068, 338069, 338070, and 188431. These connectors are widely used in automation and control applications such as production and material handling equipment, control units, robots, motors, heating systems, automotive electronics, and communication infrastructure.
