DESCRIPTION

The 2198232-2 is an SFP+ cage assembly designed for high-speed pluggable I/O applications with a maximum data rate of 16 Gb/s. This ganged cage assembly features two ports in a 1 x 2 configuration with an integrated heat sink and standard lightpipe for signal transmission. The assembly is constructed with nickel silver cage material and includes internal/external EMI springs for electromagnetic interference containment. It operates reliably across a wide temperature range of -55°C to +105°C and is terminated to PCB via through-hole press-fit connections with 2.05 mm termination post length. The 2198232-2 is ideal for data center networking, telecommunications, and high-speed interconnect applications where compact, reliable SFP+ connectivity is required.
