DESCRIPTION

487952-4 is a 4-position ZIF (Zero Insertion Force) flexible printed circuit (FPC) connector designed for surface mount applications. It features a 1.0 mm contact pitch with right-angle orientation and bottom contact configuration, providing reliable connections in space-constrained designs. The connector housing is made of glass reinforced polyester (LCP) with UL 94V-0 flammability rating in natural color, while the actuator uses glass reinforced nylon (PPA) or PPS in black color. Contacts and solder tabs are constructed from phosphor bronze for durability. This connector is commonly used in computers, disk drives, printers, cellular phones, and medical equipment where flexible circuit connections are required.
