DESCRIPTION

The 499206-2 is a 14-position connector housing designed for reliable electrical interconnection in PCB-mounted applications. The housing is constructed from glass-filled nylon or polyester material rated B4V-O, with posts manufactured from phosphor bronze or brass to ensure excellent electrical conductivity and durability. Key dimensional specifications include a post diameter of 0.64 mm ±0.03 mm at the tips, a solder tail length of 2.79 mm ±0.25 mm, and overall housing dimensions of 15.24 mm length with 2.54 mm pitch spacing between contact positions. The connector features a nickel underplate of 1.27 µm minimum on the entire post surface, with localized gold flash plating for enhanced corrosion resistance and solderability. This connector is commonly used in industrial control systems, telecommunications equipment, and consumer electronics where reliable multi-position interconnection and compact PCB integration are required.
