DESCRIPTION

52284-2 is a pre-insulated ring tongue terminal designed for reliable electrical termination in control circuits and power wiring applications. The terminal features a 0.033 inch (0.84 mm) maximum tongue thickness and accommodates a 6 mm or M3.5 stud size, with dimensions of 0.375 inch (9.53 mm) width and 0.312 inch (7.92 mm) center distance. The terminal is color-coded red/red for easy identification and supports wire insulation diameters ranging from 0.046 to 0.110 inch (1.17 to 2.79 mm). The serration or dimple feature inside the terminal barrel provides exceptional barrel contact and tensile strength, while the special plating process creates high resistance to corrosion. This terminal is ideal for applications requiring secure, corrosion-resistant connections in automotive, industrial control, and heavy-duty power distribution systems.
