DESCRIPTION

53246-1 is a pre-insulated ring tongue terminal designed for 12-10 AWG wire (5,180-13,100 circular mils or 2.62-6.64 mm²) with a #8 stud connection. The terminal features yellow vinyl insulation with a maximum insulation diameter of 0.250 inches (6.35 mm) and is constructed with a 0.042 inch (1.07 mm) maximum tongue material thickness. Key dimensions include a width (W) of 0.250 inches (6.35 mm), a center-to-stud distance (C) of 0.174 inches (4.42 mm), an end dimension (E) of 0.775 inches (19.69 mm), and a length (L) of 0.959 inches (24.36 mm). The terminal body is made of copper per ASTM B-152 with tin plating per ASTM B-545, providing excellent corrosion resistance and reliable electrical contact. This terminal is ideal for control circuits and power wiring applications requiring secure, solderless termination with high dielectric strength and exceptional barrel contact.
