DESCRIPTION

556881-5 is a 5-position wire-to-board receptacle connector housing designed for AMPINNERGY power and signal interconnection systems. The housing is constructed from polycarbonate material (94V-0) and features polarized mating with positive latching to mating plug housings, ensuring secure connections. With a PCB thickness range of 0.062 to 0.125 inches, the receptacle accommodates crimp contacts and provides internal latching of crimp contacts for reliable retention. Dimensional specifications include an overall length (Dimension A) of 2.25 inches (57.03 mm), width (Dimension B) of 2.88 inches (73.15 mm), and depth (Dimension C) of 3.16 inches (80.14 mm). This connector is commonly used in power supplies, switch-mode power supplies (SMPS), power factor-correcting (PFC) systems, and redundant power configurations where hot-plug capability and reliable interconnection are required.
