DESCRIPTION

605980-3 is a black butyl rubber fusion tape designed for electrical insulation, protection, and sealing of terminations and splices. The tape is self-adhering and self-curing, bonding into a permanent insulator without requiring heat or open flame application. It features excellent electrical properties, water resistance, ozone resistance, and corrosion resistance, with a continuous operating temperature range from -40°F [-40°C] to 212°F [100°C], and short-term capability to 266°F [130°C]. The tape has a width of 1.500 inches [38.10 mm], thickness of 0.020 inches [0.51 mm], length of 30 feet [9.14 m], and weighs 0.298 lbs [135.2 grams]. This product is ideal for bundling, insulating, and sealing wire, cable, tubing, and hoses in electrical and industrial applications where moisture and corrosion protection are essential.
