DESCRIPTION

6-968975-1 is a 21-position blue receptacle housing designed for the AMP MCP (Multiple Contact Point) Interconnection System, a connector platform engineered for automotive electrical and electronic applications. The housing is constructed from PA 66 GF13 material and features keying option C, providing reliable mating with corresponding tab housings and PCB headers. This receptacle housing supports the AMP MCP contact system with its characteristic 3 to 6 redundant contact points and protected contact springs, delivering high reliability for long-term use in powertrain systems, safety and security systems, and body and chassis applications. The blue color coding facilitates quick identification and proper assembly in complex automotive wiring harnesses.
