DESCRIPTION

747973-1 is a ferrule component designed for use with AMPLIMITE D-subminiature shielding hardware kits from TE Connectivity. The ferrule is manufactured from steel (annealed) with tin plating for corrosion resistance and reliable electrical contact. It is designed to work with shell sizes 1-3 and accommodates various cable diameter ranges. These ferrules are used in conjunction with hand crimping tools or pneumatic bench tools for proper installation. Common applications include industrial machinery, medical instrumentation, computers and peripherals, and data storage systems where reliable shielded cable connections are required.
