DESCRIPTION

The 750640-1 is an AMPLIMITE .050 Series Panel Mount Receptacle Assembly Without Rails, With Latch Blocks, Series III, designed for 50-position subminiature D-type connector applications. The housing features a thermoplastic cover rated 94V-O in black, with a steel shell plated in bright nickel over copper and a zinc bracket plated nickel over copper. Contacts are plated with a minimum of 0.00076 inches (0.00076 mm) gold on the mating end and bright tin-lead in the termination area, all nickel underplated. The connector accommodates recommended wire sizes of 28 AWG (0.08–0.09 mm²) or 30 AWG (0.05 mm²), solid or 7-strand, with insulation diameters of 0.029–0.036 inches (0.74–0.89 mm) or 0.050 inches (1.27 mm) centerline for 28 AWG stranded PVC flat ribbon cable. This connector is ideal for applications requiring reliable panel-mount connections in compact spaces with secure latch block retention.
