DESCRIPTION

The 822473-1 is a 20-position PLCC (Plastic Leaded Chip Carrier) socket assembly designed for surface-mount applications on printed circuit boards. The socket features phosphor bronze contacts with 1.52 µm tin-lead plating over 0.51 µm nickel finish, housed in a thermoplastic UL94 V-0 body that conforms to JEDEC specifications MS-016 and MS-018. It is rated for 1 A per contact at 250 V with a dielectric withstanding voltage of 600 V RMS between adjacent contacts and an insulation resistance of 1,000 MO minimum, maintaining 500 MO minimum after humidity and thermal shock testing. The socket operates across a temperature range of -55 °C to +170 °C and exhibits excellent durability with contact resistance of 20 mO maximum after 30 mating cycles. This socket assembly is commonly used in computer peripherals, industrial control systems, and consumer electronics requiring reliable PLCC component interconnection.
