DESCRIPTION

The 8-31818-1 is a SOLISTRAND ring tongue terminal designed for terminating solid wire, stranded wire, and irregular shaped conductors in industrial applications. Constructed of high conductivity copper per ASTM B152 with tin plating per ASTM B545, this terminal features a brazed seam and W-crimp design that provides high tensile strength and prevents pinched wires. The terminal is corrosion and vibration resistant, with a shorter barrel length ideal for terminations in tight spaces and a bell-mouth barrel entrance that reduces installation time. Operating at a maximum temperature of 170°C and meeting or exceeding MIL-SPEC SAE AS7928 Type I, Class I requirements, this terminal is suitable for material handling equipment, motors, heavy equipment, transformers, switchgear, telecommunications, appliances, panel boxes, power supplies, and control instruments.
