DESCRIPTION

The 8-55826-3 is a pre-insulated sealed butt splice designed for joining 12–10 AWG (2.62–6.64 mm²) wires in moisture-prone environments. It features a copper body with tin plating and a polyolefin heat-shrinkable insulation sleeve that provides both environmental sealing and visual inspection capability. The splice has a maximum length of 1.796 inches (45.62 mm) and accommodates wire insulation up to 0.240 inches (6.10 mm) in diameter. The moisture-proof seal prevents corrosion from fluids and vapors while the color-coded insulation offers exceptional wire support and protection. This product is recognized under the UL 486 C standard and is ideal for automotive, marine, industrial, and outdoor electrical applications where corrosion resistance and reliable mechanical crimping are critical.
