DESCRIPTION

962998-1 is a 1.5mm socket contact designed for AMP sealed circular connectors, specifically engineered for wire sizes 0.5-1.0 mm² (20-18 AWG). The contact features tin plating and is compatible with insulation diameters of 1.2-2.1 mm (.047-.083 inches), ensuring reliable sealing and electrical connection in harsh environments. It is supplied as a loose piece contact and pairs with wire seal 828904-1 for complete connector assembly. This contact is commonly used in sealed connector applications requiring environmental protection, such as automotive, industrial, and marine equipment where moisture and contamination resistance are critical.
