DESCRIPTION

1-2308342-3 is a ruggedized metal D-Sub backshell designed for D-Subminiature connectors, providing robust cable protection and EMI/EMC shielding. The backshell features 360° EMI/EMC shielding capability and is suitable for use in EN50155 systems. It offers multiple cable exit options including 180°, 135°, and 225° configurations, with strain relief versions available in crimp (for high vibration and extreme environmental conditions) or screw strain relief for easy cable preparation. The high-quality die cast metal shell construction ensures fire and smoke compliance, while self-retaining assembly screws and turned steel screw options (M3 or UNC4-40 thread) facilitate fast and easy installation. These backshells are ideal for industrial, rail, and other demanding applications requiring reliable EMI protection and secure cable management.
