DESCRIPTION
160759-1 is a RAST 5 connector from the AMP Multifitting Mark II or AMP MONO-SHAPE product family, designed for in-line mating technology in industrial and commercial applications. The connector features a 5.0 mm centerline according to RAST 5 specifications, with housing material of PA 6.6 plastic and copper alloy contacts with post-tinned finish (2.0 µm min.). It supports wire sizes from 0.5 to 1.5 mm² with current ratings up to 16 A maximum depending on wire size, and a rated voltage of 380 V max. The connector meets various safety standards including Glow Wire Test per IEC 695-2-1 (850°C) and offers air and creepage distance =4.0 mm for 380 V applications. These connectors are commonly used in appliances and industrial equipment requiring reliable wire-to-wire or wire-to-board connections.
