DESCRIPTION

1-640426-0 is an MTA-156 IDC (Insulation Displacement Connector) designed for closed-end printed circuit board applications with a locking ramp feature. This connector supports multiple wire sizes including 18 AWG (0.8–0.9 mm²), 20 AWG (0.5–0.6 mm²), and 22 AWG (0.3–0.4 mm²), accommodating various circuit positions from 2 to 24 positions. The connector is manufactured in standard UL94V-0 material with tin plating and is available in both RoHS-compliant lead-free versions and standard versions. The locking ramp mechanism provides secure retention and reliable mating, while the IDC termination method enables fast, tool-free wire termination directly into the connector. This connector is widely used in telecommunications, industrial control systems, and computer peripheral applications where reliable mass termination and compact board-level interconnection are required.
