DESCRIPTION

5-2337939-7 is a PCI Express card edge connector manufactured by TE Connectivity designed for high-speed data transmission in computing applications. The connector features multiple position configurations (36, 64, 98, or 164 positions) to accommodate various card sizes and bandwidth requirements. The housing is constructed from LCP UL94V-0 black material with copper alloy contacts and brass hold-down components, providing durability and reliable electrical performance. The contacts are finished with 2.54 µm gold plating on the contact area and 1.27 µm nickel underplating overall, with 2.54 µm matte-tin plating on the solder tail area for enhanced corrosion resistance. Dimensional tolerances are specified per PLC standards (±0.3 mm for 1 PLC, ±0.20 mm for 2 PLC, ±0.050 mm for 3 PLC), ensuring precise fit and alignment. This connector is widely used in add-in cards, expansion modules, and high-performance computing systems requiring reliable PCIe connectivity.
