DESCRIPTION

5557969-2 is a single port modular jack designed for direct mounting on printed circuit boards. This shielded connector features 8 positions with 8 contacts, Cat 3 performance rating, and includes panel stops for secure installation. The top entry thru-hole design provides both panel and PCB grounding options, with 20 dB shielding effectiveness from 30 MHz to 400 MHz. The jack meets FCC Part 68 rules and regulations, REA PE-76, and UL 1863 standards, with 1000 volt dielectric requirement contact to contact. Constructed from UL 94V-0 flame retardant polyester with selectively gold plated contacts, this RoHS compliant component is ideal for telecommunications and networking applications requiring reliable shielded connections.
