DESCRIPTION

The 6-747840-9 is a 9-position D-subminiature plug connector designed for standard board mount applications with right-angle PCB mounting orientation. It features a front metal shell (Shell Size 1) with a threaded insert mating connector lock (4-40 UNC), boardlock PCB mount retention, and grounding indents and straps for enhanced signal integrity. The connector utilizes gold-plated mating contacts (30 µm gold flash over palladium nickel) on a brass base with tin-plated shell and eyelet components, supporting wave solder processes up to 265°C. This connector is ideal for industrial and telecommunications applications requiring reliable, ELV-compliant interconnections with secure mechanical attachment and superior grounding performance.
