DESCRIPTION

The 2-179694-3 is a hybrid mini-drawer connector receptacle assembly designed for true hot-plug, blind-mating mixed signal and power interconnection systems. This 3-position connector features sequenced contacts for "mate-first-break-last" operation and supports AWG #24 wire with insulation diameter of 0.95–1.05 mm. The receptacle housing is constructed from UL94-0 rated 66 nylon in natural color (white), with copper alloy contacts that are gold plated on the mating side over nickel underplate and tin plated on the signal circuit termination side. The connector dimensions are 4.0 mm (A), 6.8 mm (B), and 8.0 mm (C), making it suitable for compact applications. Typical applications include low-noise power supplies, switch-mode power supplies (SMPS), power factor-correcting (PFC) power supplies, and redundant (N+1) power systems requiring reliable hot-plug connectivity.
