DESCRIPTION

The 747840-6 is a subminiature D-type right-angle plug connector featuring 9 contact positions with a shell size of 1, designed for HD-20 front metal-shell applications. It incorporates threaded inserts and a fixed female screwlock mechanism, with grounding indents and grounding straps for enhanced signal integrity. The connector utilizes a 0.026 inch diameter contact post and is constructed with a tin-plated steel front shell, 94V-0 rated thermoplastic black housing, and brass tin-plated eyelets. Pin contacts are duplex plated with 0.00030 inch gold on the mating end and tin-lead on the termination end, with complete nickel underplating for reliable performance. This connector is ideal for applications requiring secure, compact interconnections in electronic equipment where vibration resistance and grounding reliability are essential.
