DESCRIPTION

5749621-5 is a 50-position cable plug connector from the AMPLIMITE .050 Series, designed for high-density D-subminiature interconnect applications. This connector features latchblocks (without rails) and standard termination covers, utilizing gold-plated phosphor bronze contacts with a minimum gold plating of 0.000030 inches (0.00076 mm) on the mating end and tin on the termination end. The housing and covers are made from thermoplastic material with a 94V-0 flammability rating, and the shell is steel plated with tin-nickel alloy over nickel over copper. The connector is designed for use with 28 AWG (0.08-0.09 mm²) or 30 AWG (0.05 mm²) wire, solid or 7-strand, with insulation diameter of 0.029-0.036 inches (0.74-0.89 mm). This connector requires a backshell kit for complete assembly and is suitable for data and device applications requiring reliable, high-density connections.
