DESCRIPTION
The 1738C-SL005 is a four-conductor shielded cable assembly designed for control and signal transmission applications. It features 22 AWG tinned copper conductors (7/30 stranding) with 0.016" nominal PVC insulation, color-coded black, red, white, and green per Alpha Wire Color Code D. The cable assembly includes a braided copper shield with 75% minimum coverage and a 0.020" nominal PVC jacket in slate color, with a minimum twist rate of 6.0 twists per foot and clear Mylar tape core wrap at 25% overlap. Electrical characteristics include a 300V RMS voltage rating, 39 pF/ft conductor-to-conductor capacitance at 1 kHz, and a conductor DC resistance of 16.4 O/1000 ft at 20°C. The cable operates reliably over a temperature range of -20°C to +80°C with a maximum bend radius of 10 times the cable diameter, making it suitable for industrial control systems, instrumentation, and signal routing in compact spaces where shielding and flexibility are essential.
