DESCRIPTION
The 1855-GR005 is a single-conductor hookup wire designed for general-purpose electrical connections and wiring applications. It features a 22 AWG tinned copper conductor with a nominal 0.010" PVC insulation wall, providing a total outer diameter of 0.050" ± 0.002". The wire is rated for 600 V RMS operation and complies with military specifications MIL-W-76B TYPE LW (90°C / 300 V RMS) and MIL-W-16878E/1 (105°C / 600 V RMS). Key electrical characteristics include a conductor DC resistance of 16.2 O/1000ft at 20°C and an inductance of 0.05 µH/ft. The wire operates reliably across a temperature range of -55°C to 105°C with a maximum pull tension of 5.5 lbs and a bend radius of 10 times the cable diameter, making it suitable for general-purpose wiring, prototyping, and laboratory applications where flexibility and durability are required.
