DESCRIPTION
The 1898C-SL002 is a three-conductor control cable featuring 18 AWG (16/30) tinned copper conductors with individual 0.016" nominal PVC insulation and a 0.020" nominal PVC jacket in slate color. The cable is constructed with three components cabled at a minimum of 4.8 twists per foot, resulting in an overall diameter of 0.210 inches (0.220 inches maximum). It is rated for 300 V RMS at 80°C per UL AWM/STYLE 2509 and 75°C per UL CM specifications, with a temperature operating range of -20°C to +80°C and a maximum pull tension of 38 lbs. The cable exhibits a conductor DC resistance of 7.1 O/1000 ft at 20°C, a capacitance of 33 pF/ft at 1 kHz, and an inductance of 0.18 µH/ft. This cable is commonly used in control and instrumentation applications where reliable signal transmission and mechanical durability are required.
