DESCRIPTION
AZEV140-1AE1BG-24D is a 40 Amp power relay with integrated monitoring capability designed for IEC 61851 Mode 2 EV charging applications. The relay features a SPST-NO (1 Form A) load contact with a maximum switched power of 22,000 VA and up to 50 Amp switching capability, coupled with a SPST-NC (1 Form B) signal contact for welding monitoring. It operates with a 24 VDC nominal coil voltage (must operate at 18.0 VDC, holding voltage at 8.4 VDC minimum), achieving operate time of =30 ms and release time of =10 ms. The relay provides a wide load contact gap of =2.25 mm, dielectric strength of 4 kVrms between coil and load contacts, and surge withstand voltage of 6 kV, with contact materials of AgSnO2 for load contacts and AgNi + Au (gold plated) for signal contacts. It withstands up to 1850 A short circuit current and is rated for 50,000 cycles at CC2 load category per IEC 61851-1, operating reliably across -40°C to +85°C. This relay is ideal for EV charging infrastructure, welding equipment monitoring, and other high-reliability switching applications requiring both power switching and status monitoring.
