DESCRIPTION

MS3106R14S-7S is a straight plug connector designed to meet MIL-DTL-5015 and MIL-5015 type standard cylindrical connector requirements. This MS-R class connector features a low-profile assembly with an axial compression nut and grommet assembly positioned flush with the rear of the insert, incorporating a neoprene grommet with low coefficient of friction for easier wire bundle threading and faster assembly. The connector includes an O-ring at the main joint of the plug to provide supplementary sealing beyond the interfacial seal, ensuring higher reliability when connector halves from different sources are employed. The shell is fabricated from high-grade aluminum alloy with electrically conductive cadmium plating and olive drab chromate after-treatment for corrosion resistance, while contacts are machined from copper alloy for maximum corrosion resistance and current carrying capacity. MS-R types are recommended for new design applications requiring environmental resistance and compact form factor in aerospace, military, and industrial applications.
