DESCRIPTION
The AWM-2S is a heavy-duty, multi-pin thermoplastic connector from the ATM Series designed for demanding industrial applications requiring robust environmental sealing and reliable electrical connections. It features IP68 and IP69K ratings in mated condition, a maximum current rating of 7.5A, and operates across a temperature range of -55°C to +125°C with an integrated latching system ensuring definitive mechanical and electrical connections. The connector housing is manufactured from thermoplastic material (UL94-VO) with excellent UV resistance and RoHS compliance, while contacts are derived from copper alloy with nickel plating for reliable conductivity. The sealing system incorporates internal and rear silicone multi-sealing perimeters to protect against environmental ingress, and the connector achieves a minimum insulation resistance of 1000 megohms at 25°C. Applications include marine, heavy equipment, agricultural, automotive, and alternative energy systems where superior environmental protection and durability are essential.
