DESCRIPTION
The AWV-18S is an 18-position heavy-duty connector plug featuring an integrated wedgelock system designed for reliable mating and contact alignment in demanding applications. This connector accommodates Size 16 contacts rated for 13A current with a maximum voltage rating of 250V, supporting wire gauges from 14-22 AWG. The thermoplastic housing with built-in contact sealing and silicone elastomer seals achieves IP68 protection in mated condition, while the integrated latch and wedgelock mechanism ensure secure connection retention. Operating across a temperature range of -40°C to +125°C with over 100 mating cycles, the AWV-18S demonstrates exceptional durability through rigorous testing including thermal shock (-55°C to +125°C), 50g shock resistance, and vibration tolerance up to 20g. This connector is ideally suited for on and off-highway vehicles, marine, industrial, and agricultural applications where harsh environmental conditions and reliable electrical continuity are critical requirements.
