DESCRIPTION
The 55639AVDE+U272 is a VDE-approved miniature toggle switch from the 55000 series, designed for single-pole ON-OFF-ON switching applications with a threaded bushing and solder lug terminals. It is rated for 3 A at 250 VAC or 6 A at 125 VAC with resistive loads, and features a dielectric strength of 2,000 Vrms (50 Hz) between poles and frame, and 1,000 Vrms between terminals. The switch employs silver contacts, a diallylphthalate (DAP) case, and a brass actuator with chrome plating, with an insulating cap (U272) supplied as standard. It is classified as Class I (normal insulation) with a small contact opening of less than 3 mm, making it suitable for compact panel-mount applications in industrial control, instrumentation, and consumer electronics where reliable switching and VDE compliance are required.
