DESCRIPTION

The 16-600-11 is a DIP (Dual In-line Package) header from the Series 600 line, featuring coined brass contacts designed for reliable electrical connections in PCB-mounted applications. The header body is constructed from black UL 94V-0 glass-filled nylon with 1/2-hard brass coined contacts plated with 200 µm minimum matte tin per ASTM B545-97 over 50 µm minimum nickel. It is rated for a contact current of 2 amps and operates across a temperature range of -55°C to +105°C for tin plating. The fork-style contacts accept component leads up to 0.025 inches (0.64 mm) in diameter, and the body cavity design provides additional clearance for component mounting. This header is commonly used in electronic assemblies requiring standard DIP connectivity with protective snap-on covers available for component heights from 0.125 to 0.750 inches.
