DESCRIPTION
The AVD85B-48S12-6L is an 85-watt sixteenth-brick isolated DC/DC converter designed for telecommunications equipment supplies with a wide 2:1 input range of 36 to 75 Vdc. It delivers a fully regulated 12V output at up to 7.1A with high efficiency of 93.3% at full load and low output ripple and noise of 64 mV peak-to-peak. The converter features open-frame construction optimized for air cooling, operates across an ambient temperature range of -40°C to +85°C, and includes advanced protection mechanisms including overvoltage protection at 130% output voltage and overcurrent hiccup protection at 150% output current. Additional capabilities include pre-bias startup, high capacitive load capability, remote sense, output trim (80–110% Vout), and TTL-compatible enable control, making it suitable for demanding telecommunications, industrial, and data center applications requiring reliable isolated power conversion.
