DESCRIPTION
DS2000-3-002 is a 2000 W distributed power bulk front-end AC-DC power supply designed for rack-mounting server applications such as data centers. It accepts a wide input voltage range of 90–264 Vac and provides a main 12 V output rated at 161.5 A maximum current, plus a 5.0 V standby output rated at 6.0 A maximum current. The unit features active power factor correction with 0.99 typical power factor, EN61000-3-2 harmonic compliance, active AC inrush control, and operates with greater than 89% efficiency at full load on high line. Additional capabilities include N+1 redundancy support, internal OR'ing FETs, active current sharing from 10–100% load, PMBus compliance with I²C communication interface, and built-in cooling fans with internal fan speed control. The DS2000-3-002 is ideal for feeding downstream DC-DC converters in distributed power architecture systems, offering hot plug operation, no minimum load requirement, and a 1U × 3U form factor with power density of 26.14 W/in³.
