DESCRIPTION
The 8719-CHR-500 is a 2-conductor 16 AWG electronic cable designed for analog signals, digital control, audio, and voice communications up to 600V. It features 19x29 stranded tinned copper conductors with 0.0315 inch polyethylene insulation and a 100% coverage Beldfoil (aluminum/polyester) overall shield with 18 AWG tinned copper drain wire. The cable is jacketed in PVC with a nominal outer diameter of 0.313 inches and wall thickness of 0.032 inches, with a left-hand lay of 4.4 twists per foot. Electrical characteristics include a nominal conductor DC resistance of 4.5 Ohm/1000 ft, characteristic impedance of 65 Ohm, and a maximum recommended current of 7 Amps per conductor at 25°C ambient with 10°C temperature rise. The cable operates over a temperature range of -20°C to +80°C and is suitable for indoor panel wiring, instrumentation, and control applications where reliable shielded signal transmission is required.
