DESCRIPTION

The 8728-CHR-U500 is a special audio cable featuring 2 pairs of 22 AWG stranded tinned copper conductors with polypropylene insulation, designed for low-voltage analog signals, digital control, and line-level audio applications. The cable incorporates an overall Beldfoil® shield with 100% coverage and individual 24 AWG tinned copper drain wires for each pair, plus polyester film over each shield for enhanced EMI rejection. It has a PVC jacket with a nominal outer diameter of 0.215 inches and operates reliably across a temperature range of -20°C to +80°C with a maximum recommended current of 2.3 amps per conductor. The cable meets UL Style 2717 (300 V, 80°C) and CM rating standards, making it suitable for indoor panel wiring, computer communication, and control systems where signal integrity and noise immunity are essential.
