DESCRIPTION

9918-RED-1000 is a low-temperature plastic lead wire designed for general-purpose electrical applications requiring reliable insulation and conductivity. The wire features 18 AWG (16×30) tinned copper stranding with PVC insulation, meeting UL Style 1007 and 1569 standards, and is rated for 300V RMS at both 80°C and 105°C operating temperatures. Key technical characteristics include a nominal insulation diameter of 0.079 inches with a minimum average wall thickness of 0.015 inches, a conductor DC resistance of 5.9 Ohm/1000 ft, and a maximum recommended current of 20 amps in free air at 30°C ambient. The wire exhibits a minimum bend radius of 6 inches and weighs 6 lbs per 1000 feet, with a twist rate of 6 twists per foot.
