DESCRIPTION
The 84WR500LF is a multiturn surface mount cermet trimming potentiometer featuring a 1/4" square form factor designed for precision adjustment applications. It offers a resistance range from 10 ohms to 1 megohm with ±10% tolerance, 12 nominal turns of electrical travel, and a maximum power rating of 0.25W at 85°C. The device operates over a temperature range of -65°C to +150°C with a temperature coefficient of ±100ppm/°C (±250ppm/°C for resistances =100 ohms), and provides excellent reliability with 1,000 hours load life at 85°C and 200 rotational life cycles. Its low starting torque of 3 oz.-in., compact weight of 0.40 grams, and molded plastic housing with solderable pins make it ideal for PCB-mounted applications requiring fine-tuning capabilities in industrial instrumentation, consumer electronics, and precision measurement systems.
