DESCRIPTION
The 3046L-3-502 is a compact linear motion potentiometer manufactured by Bourns, designed for precise analog position sensing with infinite resolution and free shaft rotation. This sealed unit features a 5,000 ohm resistance (±20%), 0.25 inch (6.35 mm) electrical travel, and independent linearity of ±5%, delivering reliable performance across a wide operating temperature range of -55°C to +125°C. The potentiometer is rated for 0.125 watts at 70°C, with an insulation resistance of 50 megohms at 500 VDC, negligible backlash, and a rated life of 500,000 cycles. It accommodates both AC and DC operation, features flexible wire leads (28 AWG, 152.40 mm minimum length), and is RoHS compliant. The device is ideal for instrumentation, control systems, and applications requiring compact, economical position feedback with long operational life and excellent shock/vibration tolerance.
