DESCRIPTION
The 3590P-291-501 is a precision wirewound potentiometer designed for human-machine interface (HMI) applications, featuring a bushing mount with an optional anti-rotation pin and sealed construction for enhanced durability. This potentiometer offers a resistance range of 0.2 to 100 kO with ±5% total resistance tolerance and ±0.25% independent linearity, delivering exceptional accuracy for control and measurement tasks. It operates over a temperature range of -40°C to +125°C with a temperature coefficient of ±50 ppm/°C, and achieves 1,000,000 shaft revolutions with no-load operation and 1,000 hours of load life at 2 watts. The sealed version provides IP 65 protection with a mechanical angle of 360° ±10°, low wiper bounce of 0.1 millisecond, and minimal backlash of 1.0° maximum, making it ideal for industrial control panels, audio equipment, and precision instrumentation where reliability and repeatability are essential.
