DESCRIPTION
The 53RAA-R25-A13L is a sealed 1/2" (12.5 mm) square control potentiometer from Bourns designed for professional audio and general control applications. This Model 53 unit features solder lug terminals for direct PCB mounting and is available with either conductive plastic or cermet resistive elements in linear or audio taper configurations. The potentiometer offers resistance ranges from 150 ohms to 1 megohm (cermet) or 1 kilohm to 1 megohm (conductive plastic), with tolerance options of ±5%, ±10%, or ±20% depending on the element type and taper. The sealed design with metal bushing and shaft provides protection for board washing and harsh environments, while the gangable construction allows multiple units to be combined. Key electrical characteristics include an effective electrical angle of 270° ±5°, independent linearity of ±5%, and an absolute minimum resistance of 2 ohms maximum.
