DESCRIPTION
The 5506-RC is a high-current choke from Bourns' 5500 Series, designed for demanding power supply and filtering applications. It features a 150 µH inductance at 1 kHz with a maximum DC resistance of 0.069%, a ferrite core construction, and a rated DC current capacity of 4.6 A. The component is housed in a compact package with dimensions of 1.38" × 0.81" × 1.06" (A × B × C), includes VW-1 rated shrink tubing for winding protection, and operates reliably across a wide temperature range of -55°C to +105°C. With its very high current capacity, low DCR, and fixed lead spacing with tinned leads, the 5506-RC is ideal for use in switching power supplies, DC-DC converters, and EMI filtering circuits where space efficiency and thermal performance are critical.
