DESCRIPTION
The 5900-100-RC is a high-current choke from Bourns' 5900 Series, designed for power supply filtering and EMI suppression in demanding applications. It features a ferrite bobbin core with 10 µH inductance (±10%), a maximum DC resistance of 0.017 O, and a saturation current of 8.70 A (at 10% inductance drop). The component is rated for a continuous current of 4.0 A with a maximum temperature rise of 35°C, and operates reliably across the temperature range of -55°C to +105°C. The choke includes VW-1 rated shrink tubing for winding protection, dielectric strength of 2500 Vrms, and is RoHS compliant. These specifications make it ideal for high-current DC-DC converters, power distribution modules, and industrial power management circuits where low impedance and high current capacity are essential.
