DESCRIPTION
The 78F471J-RC is a conformal coated RF choke inductor designed for filtering and energy storage in DC/DC converters, power supplies, and general-purpose applications. It features a 470 µH inductance (±5% tolerance) with a quality factor (Q) of 60 at 0.79 MHz test frequency, a self-resonant frequency (SRF) of 2.55 MHz, and a DC resistance (DCR) of 14.0 O. The device is rated for a maximum DC current (IDC) of 90 mA with a dielectric strength of 500 VRMS and operates across a temperature range of -55 °C to +105 °C (including a 35 °C temperature rise at rated current). The inductor is constructed with a ferrite DR core, enameled copper wire, and Cu/Ni/Sn terminals, all protected by an epoxy resin conformal coating for enhanced reliability. This combination of electrical performance and environmental protection makes it ideal for compact power management circuits requiring stable inductance and low losses.
