The 78F8R2J-RC is a conformal coated RF choke inductor from the 78F Series, designed for high-frequency filtering and energy storage in RF and power circuits. It features an inductance value of 8.2 µH (±5% tolerance) with a quality factor (Q) of 40 at 7.9 MHz test frequency, a self-resonant frequency (SRF) of 20 MHz, and a DC resistance (DCR) of 0.55 O. The device is rated for a maximum DC current (IDC) of 425 mA and operates reliably across a temperature range of -55°C to +105°C, with a temperature rise of 35°C at rated current. The inductor utilizes a ferrite DR core with enamelled copper wire windings and Cu/Ni/Sn terminals, all protected by an epoxy resin conformal coating for enhanced reliability. It is RoHS compliant and suitable for DC/DC converters, power supplies, and general RF filtering applications where compact size and high current handling are required.
